Registration is necessary before accessing the games; users can easily sign up using their email or social media accounts such as Google and Facebook. During the initial setup, students provide their gender for avatar customization along with their name and class information. This registration process is essential for tailoring the experience to each student's needs.

A feature of Akilo is the skill selection process where students can indicate which intelligence types they wish to enhance through a brief questionnaire. These preferences influence the frequency and progression of the games a student engages with.

Notably, Akilo's games have received pedagogical certification and are developed under expert supervision. Importantly, content that promotes violence, sexuality, or substance abuse is strictly excluded from the offerings. To maintain a healthy gaming environment, a 40-minute time limit is imposed on gameplay sessions, aimed at sustaining children's focus while responsibly integrating technology into their learning processes. Furthermore, alerts are triggered at 10:00 PM to prompt children about bedtime.

To incentivize participation and increase engagement, Akilo includes systems for earning avatar items, gold, and diamonds during gameplay. A newly introduced "Season" feature rewards users with keys that unlock chests for additional gifts. With over 100 games available and new additions each month across varying difficulty levels, players can utilize earned "gold" and "diamonds" to customize avatars in the Market section. Points accrued contribute to a leaderboard showcasing the top 50 students based on performance, updated nightly.

Upon accumulating sufficient gameplay data, Akilo provides insightful performance analytics that highlight areas of strength and opportunities for improvement through graphical representations.
